A Sincere Message To The President Of The Philippines

 To His Excellency, President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr.

    I am writing this letter to express my feelings and thoughts on your presidency as a concerned citizen of this country. I do realize that you have an uphill task at hand and I appreciate the challenges you go through in trying to address the different issues that facing our country.

  Some of us perhaps even feel that your leadership offers a glimmer of hope, a reason to be more optimistic about the future, because you have the vision and determination to affect a positive change.

  We therefore commend your efforts to stimulate economic growth, improve infrastructure, and strengthen our national security. Others could be intimidated by a fear of what route your presidency would take and even go further to speculate that your rule might carry some of the same policies and practices as your father regime, which was criticized for committing human rights abuses, corruption, and authoritarianism. We might be concerned that democratic institutions could be eroded and power concentrated in the hands of a few.

  Being a concerned citizen, I hope that you will continue to work for the improvement of the Philippines and its people, and stand up for democracy, human rights, and good governance principles.

   This first quarter has been a whirlwind of new information and experiences. I've discovered a passion for learning and a newfound appreciation for the challenges and rewards of being a student. I've gained a deeper understanding of the diverse nature of being an SSC Student. I've also learned valuable study skills like time management, effective note-taking, and active listening.
